Gah?

Week 3 Reflection

This is a simulation on air traffic measured in a day. I’m bad in Geography so I had to google an atlas to check for the continents (Embarrassing confession *hides*).

As you can see, the yellow dots are more concentrated in North America, Europe, and Asia, and they sort of shift their ‘concentration’ throughout the day.

Not surprising is the fact that there is a consistency between the hubs of communications with that of transportations network throughout history and now. Goes to show that the trade connections established in the past worked out really well and goes on being effective even in the present day.

People from these major continents continue to meet up and mix around for a variety of purposes such as for vacation, for education, for business, and basically everything that you might see listed in an immigration form. Haha. This contributes to the ever-growing body of knowledge, advances in technology, understanding of culture, appreciation of nature, bad experiences with locals (undeniable fact of life for some?), political…stuff.

Anyways, any thoughts on this video?
